It has been a busy start to the new school year and we are well settled in!

We have already covered place value, addition and subtraction in maths, and are learning all about organising data at the moment. This involves tallying and displaying information on graphs like bar charts! Keeping our bar chart neat is so important if they’re to be read correctly.

In art we have been practicing our drawing techniques, using different pencil skill to add to our art creations. It’s amazing to see the different shades and tone of colour one little pencil can make! We are also really looking forward to doing some cool Halloween art soon!

In SESE we’ve learned our to trace our family history using the online census forms records from years ago. We also learned about the Vikings and Biodiversity and the Power of the Sun. See, we told you we’ve been busy!

On Wednesday 27th of September we headed off to Belvedere House in Mullingar to compete in the schools cross country championships. Despite the rain (it was a wash out!) we were very successful overall and had a great day! Ooh, Ahh, ARDNAGRATH!

Check back here next month to see what else we get up to!
